Bharat Ratna to Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Indian government  award Bharat Ratna to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 90th birthday on December 25.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the 11th Prime Minister of India for 13 days in 1996 and then again from 1998 to 2004.

He was also the first non-Congress leader to serve a full term as prime minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that Vajpayee's birthday will be observed as "Good Governance Day" every year.

Note : congress government give Bharat Ratna award to Sachin Tendulkar in last year.
